Your personal property strategy, built around your numbers.
Most property tools track. Some model. The Strategist tells you what to do next — in plain English, with exact numbers.
Your full positionPick a mode, apply with one click
The Strategist is a custom-built engine that knows your full position, the lending rules in your country, and the suburbs you're interested in — then assembles a real plan with specific properties, exact numbers, and dated next steps.

The fastest way in is to tell Stackhold Assistant your situation in plain language — or paste a block from your sheet — and let it build your first draft of the model. No long wizard, no credit check. Prefer forms? The same app lets you add everything by hand. Either way, within a few minutes you can ask the one question you came for.

AI that acts
Ask in plain English: "Add a $720k new-build at 6.2% IO for 5 years." The AI writes it into your portfolio, recalculates cashflow and DTI, and flags any lending breach — so you act in one place.

Honest answers
The questions everyone asks us.
If you're still on the fence, this is where most people find the answer that tips them over. If yours isn't here, email us — a real person replies.
I've never invested before — will this be too advanced for me?
No. Start with one property (even one you don't own yet) and the app tells you, in plain English, whether the numbers stack up. On Premium, you can also describe the same thing to Stackhold Assistant or paste a small table from a sheet, and it maps into the app for you after you confirm. Every term like "LVR" or "DTI" has a one-line definition on hover. If you can use a mortgage calculator, you can use Stackhold.
I'm just saving for a first home — is this actually useful for me?
Yes. Model the home you want to buy, add your real income and expenses, and Stackhold tells you the month you can realistically settle — not a generic rule-of-thumb. You'll see exactly how much more deposit you need, what stress-tested repayments look like at 8.5%, and which LVR band you're heading into. It's the opposite of a bank pre-approval that expires in 60 days.
We own one rental and are nervous about buying a second. Can this help?
That's one of the most common reasons people sign up. Stackhold plugs in both properties, your personal income, and the loan on the next one — then runs a stress-test so you see what happens if rates rise to 8.5% or rent drops for three months. You get a clear answer to "is this safe?" before you make an offer, not after.
Do I need to enter everything perfectly to get useful answers?
No. Start with rough numbers — a price estimate, a rent estimate, your salary. The engine uses sensible defaults for things like rates, insurance and maintenance, and you can refine them later. Every screen tells you what's a sensible default and what to tighten up next.
Is my data safe? Does it go anywhere?
Your data lives in your private cloud account, encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell it, we never share it with banks, and you can delete everything in Settings. If you stay signed out, nothing leaves your device.
How is this different from a mortgage calculator or a spreadsheet?
A calculator answers one question in isolation. A spreadsheet answers ten questions, but every change breaks three others. Stackhold is one live model — change a rent, add an expense, sell a property, and every downstream number (DTI, LVR, cashflow, next-buy date) updates at the same time. You can't get that from a single-page tool.
Do I need to be in New Zealand, Australia or the US?
Those are the three markets where the lending rules, terminology (bright-line, 1031 exchange, negative gearing) and defaults are baked in natively. If you invest somewhere else — the UK, Canada, Ireland, Singapore — the engine still works; you just edit the defaults for your market. Nothing is hard-coded to one country.
What happens after the first five minutes?
Add more properties, tenants, tasks, documents, and personal expenses as and when you have them. Stackhold is designed to grow with you — most users build their portfolio inside the app over weeks, not in one sitting. Everything you add makes the forecasts sharper.
5 minutes. One honest answer.
Find out when you can actually afford the next one.
Add one property (or the home you want to buy), a few numbers about your income, and Stackhold tells you — in a real date, in your own currency — when the next move is realistic.
