Privacy Policy
Last updated April 2026
Stackhold ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Stackhold web and (forthcoming) mobile apps.
Data we collect
- Account: your email address and authentication metadata.
- Portfolio data: property, income, expense, tenant, task, document and planning information you enter, stored in your private account document.
- AI features: when you use the Cockpit (Stackhold Assistant) or Stackhold Strategy, the relevant portfolio context is sent to our cloud function and onward to a third-party model provider (named in our Security page) to generate responses. Do not include highly sensitive personal data in free-text fields.
- Analytics: in-app analytics may collect usage and diagnostic data (e.g. page views, error logs). The marketing site uses Google Analytics 4, which only loads after you accept cookies.
- Lead capture: if you submit your email via a marketing form (e.g. the cashflow template), it's stored securely in our private cloud account. You can unsubscribe any time.
How we use data
We use your data to provide calculations, sync across your devices, improve reliability, and — if enabled — AI-assisted planning. We do not sell your personal portfolio data. Aggregated, anonymous metrics may be used to improve the product.
Sub-processors
We rely on a small number of trusted sub-processors. The current list (and the role each plays) is published on our Security page so you can see exactly who touches your data.
Retention & deletion
You may delete your account from Settings → Delete account inside the app. This removes your authentication record and your portfolio document, subject to the usual cloud-propagation delay (typically minutes).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and at rest. Access is strictly scoped so each user can only read or write their own portfolio document. See our Security summary for more.
